You were my heart flower my poetry my song

Just one look at you and then I knew

On that day serendipity smiled down on me

Time flew by swiftly life was filled with dance and song

But it wasn't long before I learnt

On that day you don't get to call the shots that way

I still think about the possibility of love

I see reflections of that moment now

From that day just a fleeting glimpse that will not stay
