I was once a space man

Taking to the sky

Was the first to launch a rocket

Play a game of footy on the moon

I would search the galaxy

For a sign of life

Hold my thumb up to the earth

I used to want to be an astronaut

Every day I used to fly

With a bounty on my head

On a silver Stirling Brumby

On a run across the boarder line

I would find a valley

Build a little homested

Be the man from snowy river

With my kettle on my left hand side

I used to want to be a cowboy
