Have you seen a solar or lunar eclipse

When I come between you and the sun

Or hide on the other side

I don't have much air for you to breathe

And I'm small so there's less gravity

You always see the same side of me

Because I orbit and rotate in the same length of time

The New Moon looks dark with the Sun on its back

We see a Waxing Crescent and the rest is black

A first Quarter moon shines when the Sun lights up half

Next a Waxing Gibbous like in this photograph

A Full Moon is bright when the whole moon is lit

A Waning Gibbous is when it darkens a bit

A Third Quarter Moon we see half of it

Then a Waning Crescent a dimming slit
