Up on Field's Head

Saw the bright red berries hanging on the front garden hedge

Down in Markfield Lane things remain the same

Grab an umbrella

It may rain

Out in Bradgate Park

I'll be home before dark

Buy stamps in the post office on my way back

At the end of the day

When the table is laid

We'll sit down in the garden room and watch the fox run away

Grab a bite to eat

Down in Market Street

Look out for the ice cream van for a treat

Run to Baxter Gate

Try not to be late

Time to ride on the country bus

I can't wait

Out in Loughborough library

Sitting down quietly

Have a bourbon biscuit and a cup of tea

At the end of the day

When the table is laid

We'll sit down in the garden room and tell stories

Put all worries to sleep
