Three Lives Left

Delirium Tremens 2015-05-24

专辑简介

"Three Lives Left" is the third release from Delirium Tremens, the underground London Folk Noir band that cut its teeth in the shadowy bohemia of Westbourne Grove and the raucous old drinking dens of Soho. Their debut full-band album "Thirst" was distributed by Universal, (2009) and included singles Sugar (Christmas No.1, Myspace unsigned chart), and I Want You (as covered by Mr. Hudson). Delirium Tremens make music for the heartbroken and the tether-worn. Early adopters of the Folk Noir movement, they sing with the night at their heels and in their throat. Jarring harmonies float over melancholic music and the heartbeat of Lee "The Boom" James on double bass. This EP is a paean to love frustrated by character and circumstance (Lagan, Soul to Blue), to realisations (Lullabies, Hurting You) and finishing in the majestic choral theatre of Bleed. This anticipated collection showcases Delirium Tremens at their best. Music twists from menacing to vulnerable, taunting to heartbroken, from muscular and uninhibited (the Poison) to contemplative (Lullabies), stripped back (Soul to Blue) or anthemic (Bleed). “achingly beautiful lyrics, vocals that break your heart, melodies that haunt you- what my ears were made for!” - Salena Godden. “Naughty and glamorous" - Immodesty Blaize “Gypsy Rose Lee meets David Bowie” - George Vjestica, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds “I wouldn’t kick either of them out of bed.” Sebastian Horsley “Excellent urban folk meanderings out at leftfield with some fine assaults on the senses and always probing, probing – the coolest act ever to explore necrophilia in pop music… –Robyn Hitchcock comes a close second”– BugBear
