A singer songwriter from Boston, Joe Barbieri has been a fixture in the New England music scene for 30 years, Joe has traveled and performed solo and with a number of musicians and groups, most notably the Boston based band Wood-n-Steel. These days Joe is focusing on writing and recording rather than performing but he can be found on the occasional stage when the opportunity presents itself.
An Album to be Named Later is a collection of tunes you will find to be both original and at once familiar. These songs will resonate with listeners. Barbieri is adept at writing and delivering lyrics and memorable melodies to express thoughts and emotions we all experience at one time or another. These songs, though personal, lead down paths common to us all. Songs like Headin' North, Old Man Now, Only I Know, No Saddle and This wedding Day are just a few that belong on your favorite playlist. The musicianship is also top notch with cameo appearances by Nashville violinist Andrea Zonn and Grammy winning guitarist Ed Gerhard rounding out a solid list of players. The project was co-produced and mastered by Seth Connelly who also contributed Guitar, Mandolin and keyboard tracks. Connelly has previously worked with many New England singer/songwriters such as Catie Curtis and Lori McKenna.
