I am embarking on an endeavor that will probably be the most important work of my lifetime as a Songwriter/Recording Artist/Producer. It is a mission to give back to the community through my passion in working with children. Needless to say, children are our future society and any time & effort invested in them now, is an investment into our future. I have worked as a volunteer for 32nd Street School USC Magnet, assisting the Kindergarteners & 1st Graders. I love children. Having my own son who is almost 7-years-old has not only changed my perspective on life, but it spawned a passion that I never knew existed in me. Assisting my son in class led to assisting other children. Before I knew it, I was really enjoying the experience, so I changed my major in school from Business Management & Administration to Child Development/Special Ed./Child Psych. I’ve composed songs for USC’s Winter & Spring Shows for the children at USC Magnet School. I’ve decided to put together a children’s album entitled, “CHILDREN’S JOY”. It consists of vocal contributions from the kids in Rooms 1 & 2 (Ms. Stelly and Ms. Oldaker). This project is solely dedicated to impacting THE LIVES OF CHILDREN & contributing to the schools in the surrounding communities. A portion of the proceeds will go to DonorsChoose.org to help fund schools in California. This is paramount, as our educational systems are taking a HUGE hit, due to budget cuts. Although the selling of a children CDs will not resolve this problem, it would at least be A START. The least that could happen as a result of this campaign could be enough to impact our future significantly. Let’s just say ONE class of ONE school benefits from donations from CD sales; the needed supplies and extra assistance to ONE child could be enough to impact A NATION in our future. Increase this nominal figure exponentially, and what do you have? You can partner with me and help make a huge difference in the lives of children by investing in this CD.
