专辑简介

Cat Janice is a jazzy rock/alternative singer from the Washington, D.C. area. She grew up with a tight-knit group of musicians where she was trained in a variety of genres, giving her an eclectic tone of classical and edgy sounds. Cat has been inspired by artists in many genres including Arcade Fire, Amy Winehouse, Royksopp, Anberlin, and The Killers. Her musical debut began in 2013 when she was a featured artist at Doah Fest in Luray, VA. After finishing her first Mid-Atlantic tour, “Going Through the Motions”, in December 2014, featuring her first EP, “Motions”, she has been described as “a beautiful performer with a strong sultry voice” by KOOL Classic hits, WRBZ of Montgomery, AL. Because she is interested in multiple genres, Cat has begun work with multiple DC-local DJs to create her first EDM album. Her new album "WILD", was driven by a prominent lifestyle and mentality change over the past year. Her song "Fire" sings about being youthful and wild, and the hidden power behind a strong female character. "Blue" was inspired by forbidden and mysterious love, a topic that also echoes throughout the album. And "River" is reminiscent of D.C. with go-go beats, lyrics of falling in "the river" for an escape, and the theme of fighting for your goals and what you know is right. "WILD" is the product of a new, bold, and dangerous Cat Janice.
