RiverSally bio RiverSally is a singer-songwriter, recording artist, composer and creative producer/director. Her unique musical style is both inspirational and transformational. Above and beyond being an artist, RiverSally is warm-hearted and generous and her music desires to communicate that each of us are valued and much-loved. Sally draws from the full spectrum of musical genres with traditional and modern influences, as well as some Japanese elements inspired by her cultural experience living and working in Japan. A creative visionary, she has also written children’s books and is currently working on the sequel to River, among other projects. Sally is married to her best friend, Nic, and they live in Sydney, Australia, with their son, Samuel. Sally’s journey began in the country town of Orange (NSW) where she was raised by her parents alongside her older two siblings. Music being highly valued in her family, Sally’s musical composition began in her early childhood. Sally studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music graduating with a Bachelor of Music Education (Hons). She has also earned a Teaching Certificate and a Master of Arts (MA). Inspired by her own journey and the physical challenges she had to overcome both in her early childhood and as a young adult, Sally discovered that challenges create opportunity for personal growth and developed empathy for people who, for whatever reason, are hurting. Sally’s fascination with music as a child led to the discovery of music as a satisfying means of communication; of intellectual, physical, emotional, spiritual, and artistic expression, and as a means to positively impact others. For Sally, life as a musician has never been about her need as a performer to perform, it has always been about Sally’s desire to inspire and impact others; to generously give to people by placing value on them. Some people journal their life through books or blogs, Sally primarily journals through music, using the textures, harmonies, melodies or lyrics to inspire and impact the audience with a life-changing experience. Although Sally has lived more of her life in large world cities (Sydney, Tokyo, Los Angeles), Sally is a country-girl at heart.
