Born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island, "Wordz Smith" (born, Aaron Jerrell Hampton), has branded himself as an inspirational, innovative and fearless artist. At the young age of 11, Wordz was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, also known as bone cancer. After undergoing treatment including chemotherapy and a host of surgical procedures, Wordz Smith is in remission, over 17 years later and has proven his viability; refusing to take no for answer! Wordz Smith enters the entertainment arena with experience and credibility as a professional writer as he attended Southern New Hampshire University's Online Creative Writing / Psychology programs and graduated from Penn Foster Career School's Freelance Writing program. Within a 4 year span (2009-2013), Smith published 3 books of poetry (under his birth name) , two of which were released from his imprint, Kre8tive Entertainment.
