To be released on August 17th is the second LP from house duo UNDERCOVER, entitled ‘Night Beats’. The pair, otherwise known as DJ/producer Greg Scarnici and singer/songwriter Joe Thompson, return to the dance floor once again armed with a unique collection of work, highlighting their sophistication in production and song writing throughout its entirety. For those currently unfamiliar with the Brooklyn-based UNDERCOVER, their lifelong musical diet of house, disco and R&B put them in excellent stead for a career in crafting their own sound, and ‘Night Beats’ is a reflection of that. Soulful, with an undercurrent of energy that captures NYC nightlife, tracks such as their charismatic ‘Come Into My House’ and the sensual ‘Under The Lights’ personify the UNDERCOVER ethos wonderfully. Of the twelve tracks on the album, ‘Playing My Song’ and ‘Make Believe’ will drop as a double A-side on June 23rd, featuring remixes from Mike Sharon, DJ William Francis and Scarnici himself. An intelligent look into the world of DJing that Scarnici immerses himself in, ‘Night Beats’ is sure to enrapture countless house aficionados across the globe with it’s New York-centric sound.
